Signs of Stress

The signs of stress can vary by person and by situation, but they often include:

- Psychological signs

    - worrying
    - sleeplessness
    - difficulty concentrating
    - feeling overwhelmed

- Behavioral signs

    - increased irritability
    - accident proneness
    - changes in appetite and/or sleep pattern

- Biological signs

    - increased heart rate
    - high blood pressure
    - headaches
    - indigestion or nausea
    - muscle pain (especially in the jaw, neck, or lower back
